There are also many options for dining, shopping or merely exploring and hanging out within a walking distance from the hotel.
The room we were in had one of the most beautiful layouts and décor which appealed to me.
The colour theme was white-neutral and the huge tinted windows let a lot of light in and kept the room lively.
The bathroom was also spacious and we were given major amenities like a TV, coffee maker, toiletries, etc.
The swimming pool itself was an indoor swimming pool which was clean and of considerable size.
I liked the fact that kids could play in the shallower areas and there was even a Jacuzzi for the use of guests.
The hotel also had a restaurant, Luce which served some great meals and a fitness centre which was nice too.
The only complaint I had was that the hotel did not offer free Wi-Fi.
Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf

The room had cool tones and modern décor to it, with some great furniture and additions.
It was moderately sized and had large windows which provided ample natural light during the day.
The bathroom was also spacious and aesthetically pleasing and we were given amenities like a TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, toiletries, etc.
The hotel is one of the San Francisco hotels with outdoor pools and the pool was large.
It was exceptionally clean and the temperature was perfectly regulated. An outdoor pool could be risky in the colder months but since we visited in a warm month we got to enjoy it to the fullest.
A Jacuzzi was also there and I also liked the fitness centre. The seafood we got at the restaurant was fresh and delicious and we also got access to free Wi-Fi. The staff we came across was nice and friendly.
One of the most renowned and best 5-star hotels in San Francisco with swimming pools, the Palace Hotel offers a royal treatment to its visitors.
It is located in the center of San Francisco in the Financial District and is close to various great dining and shopping places.
Famous attractions such as Union Square, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, etc. can be accessed on foot.
The room had a royal-elegant décor to it with mostly warmer tones and wooden furniture.
But with a hint of modern design, the room looked lavish yet comfortable and the bed was incredibly spacious and soft.
The bathroom had an amazing shower and the décor of it was also lovely. We were also given various amenities such as a TV, coffee maker, toiletries, etc.
The huge pool was in an area enclosed by a large glass dome on the ceiling that let plenty of natural light in.
The décor matched the overall décor of the hotel and the pool was neat and the temperature of it was also perfect, it was one of the best swimming pools in SFO.
There was also a great spa that offered delightful services which we frequented very often besides the pool.
The restaurant was truly high-end and offered some great meals and the fitness center was also good. The staff was helpful to us, however, we were not given access to free Wi-Fi.
Handlery Union Square
The Handlery Hotel, situated in the prime location of the city, is one of the finest hotels in San Francisco with pools and offers great services and accommodation to its guests.
From the hotel, guests can walk to various eateries and shopping areas and even visit some popular places like Union Square, San Francisco Cable Car, Xanadu Gallery, etc.
The room had a modern décor to it, boasting grey tones and warm lighting. There was also a ceiling-to-floor window that had a lovely view and let in lots of natural light.
The bathroom was also spacious and beautiful and we were provided with necessary amenities such as a TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, toiletries, etc.
The outdoor pool was large and was clean and well-maintained, both hygiene and temperature-wise.
There was also plenty of space and ample sunlight so sunbathing was also possible.
The on-site restaurant offered a great breakfast and the fitness center was average.
The staff was incredibly helpful and we also had access to free Wi-Fi.
Hotel Nikko San Francisco

Attractions like the Curran Theatre, Geary Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, etc. are at walking distance from the hotel, as are various good restaurants, shopping areas and other places to explore.

The room itself had a modern and fresh décor with neutral and blue tones and ample lighting.
I found it spacious and well-furnished and the bathroom was also the same.
The large windows provided a lot of sunlight and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were also given amenities such as a TV, toiletries, etc.
The pool area was stunning with a glass roof that let in plenty of sunlight and lit up the area.
The pool was spacious and clean and its temperature was also great for a swim, making it a rare rooftop pool San Francisco has to offer.
Another great thing about the hotel was that it had various features for dogs and that makes it a perfect spot for travellers travelling with their pets.
The high-end restaurant also gave us some great meals and the fitness center was extremely good too.
We used the steam rooms too and were given access to free Wi-Fi.
San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront

Though being near the airport is advantageous for catching flights, it is also disadvantageous because it places you farther from the city center.
But there is ample to do as the hotel stands on the San Francisco Bay and offers various great dining and touring places nearby.
The room boasted a modern décor with mainly neutral tones and the room was subdivided into two parts by a wall halfway.
There was a large window that let in loads of light and displayed the sea beyond. The bathroom was also very spacious and we were provided important amenities such as a TV, coffee maker, work area, toiletries, etc.
The indoor pool was of moderate size and was clean, undoubtedly one of the best hotel pools in the bay area.
The temperature was also well-regulated and the hot tub was also spacious. I especially liked the well-equipped fitness center and the food from the restaurant was lovely.
Having a Starbucks in the hotel lobby was convenient for times we craved a beverage or snack and the staff was incredibly helpful to us throughout our stay. We also had access to free Wi-Fi.
St. Regis San Francisco

The room was incredibly clean and spacious with a modern décor of mainly neutral tones and bright splashes of colours here and there.
Many large windows brought out the beauty of the room even more and displayed a beautiful view of the city below.
I also found the bathroom spacious and we were provided with necessities like a TV, a work area, minibar, toiletries, etc.
The indoor infinity pool of the hotel was truly exceptional. Not only was the whole area aesthetically pleasing, but it was also clean and peaceful there.
The spa also offered great services and the fitness center was also great. The two restaurants had good food and due to the location we explored and ate out a lot as well.
The staff was kind and friendly to us and the only complaint I have is that we did not have access to free Wi-Fi.
Situated in the Tenderloin District of the city, this hotel has a unique décor and offers great accommodation for its guests.
The location is not as good if compared with the others on the lists but the neighborhood still offers various eateries, shopping spots and attractions like the Golden Gate Theater, Asian Art Museum, etc.
The room was bright and had a modern-neon décor with bright shades of blue red and orange all around the room.
We got a room with a large window that opened to a balcony which looked over the pool and greenery and we loved it.
Some eccentric pieces of furniture and décor caught my eye and the bathroom was great too. It is a matter of personal preference but I quite liked the quirky décor.
We were also given amenities like a TV, toiletries, hairdryer, etc.
The pool was an outdoor pool and it was clean and the temperature was also well maintained.
There was also bright sunlight perfect for sunbathing on rare summer days in SFO.
The food from the on-site restaurant was nice and there was a mini-mart which we frequented too.

Hilton San Francisco
Situated in the busy downtown, in Union Square, The Hilton is one of the best 5-star hotels in San Francisco with swimming pools and boasts only the finest quality service and accommodation provided to its many guests throughout the year.
The location places the guests at walking distance from various good restaurants, shopping areas as well as tourist attractions such as the San Francisco Playhouse, Geary Theatre, etc.
The room had a colour theme of warm and neutral colours and was modern and elegant in décor.
The large windows lit up the room and the bathroom was also good. We were also given amenities like a TV, coffee maker, toiletries, etc.
The pool located in the courtyard was spacious and well-heated and also clean.
The area was great for sunbathing and the little hot tub was also nice. The on-site restaurants offered good meals, especially the breakfast buffet, and the fitness centre was very good too.
The staff that handled us were very friendly and helpful, however, we were not given access to free Wi-Fi.
Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf
Situated in Mason Street, Fisherman’s Wharf, this hotel is at a walking distance from various famous attractions like Pier 39, Musée Mécanique, etc.

Our room had a modern décor with mostly grey and cool tones and ample lighting.
The windows were on the smaller size if you compare them with the others but the view was great anyways.

The outdoor pool was beautiful and very clean. The heating was perfect and it was spacious and relaxing to swim in.
We also sunbathed in the area and the presence of a bit of greenery made the pool area bright.
The food at the restaurant was good and the staff helped us a lot. We also liked the fitness center and were given access to free Wi-Fi.
